All our raw material has PEFC certification (except for Siberian Larch, because Russia is not part of the PEFC certification program.)
Anyone using wood with the PEFC quality seal, promotes natural forests, careful forest management, variety of species of animals and plants and the preservation of a natural environment with high recreational value.
Admonter uses its wood from sustainable managed forests and was therefore awarded with the PEFC quality seal, issued by an institution of the Pan-European forest and wood management
Another environmental consideration is the energy needed for manufacturing.
The manufacturing plant has its energy needs supplied by its own power station.
The biomass power plant uses the waste material from production to fuel the power station which produces heat for the kilns that dry the wood, the thermo treatment plant and all the office buildings.
The extra energy that is produced goes to supply the energy needs of the town's monastery, school and over 200 of the houses in the town of Admont. So when we say our flooring is produced in an environmental way, we really mean it!
